Neeraja Balachander, of the Zanvyl Krieger Mind-Brain Institute at The Johns Hopkins University, and Gary Vikan, director of the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, and curator of the exhibition “Beauty and the Brain: A Neural Approach to Aesthetics,” talk about that exhibition, which is an experiment on how art affects the human brain, and why we’re attracted to certain works of art.
