Pulitzer Prize-winning author Tracy Kidder tells the story of Deo, an immigrant from Burundi who came to America with nothing in search of a new life and eventually became a doctor. Kidder’s book Strength in What Remains is about one man’s remarkable American journey and of the ordinary people who helped him.
