Screenwriter and director Nora Ephron discusses her new movie "Julie & Julia," based on the blog and book by Julie Powell, which chronicles her year cooking every recipe in Mastering the Art of French Cooking, Julia Child's seminal cook book. The film tells Julie's story alongside the story of how Julia Child learned to cook while she and her husband Paul were living in Paris during the 1940s and 1950s.

I have a friend who is a cuter version of NE and got to meet her and was really disappointed, said she was a big phony. Evidently I miised her. Can't deny her talent however.

Would be interesting to see how the French will react to this movie, and in general what is the general opinion there about Julia Child.

Hey, wasn't Julia a spy before she was ever a chef? No, seriously. Is that in the film?

In 2007, Ms. Ephron wrote that then Senator Obama was a "disappointment from the beginning."

Does Ms. Ephron sill view the president as a disappointment?

In 2007, Ms. Ephron wrote, "And then there are the Democrats in the Congress. What a bunch of losers."

Does Ms. Ephron sill view Democratic representatives as "losers"?

Thanks honey.
