Listening to this segment I got the impression this book is not so much about the elderly father, but certainly about Mr. Morris. Perhaps the son's life has all to do with issues? Issues dealing with the fact his pop was a Republican? Issues having to do with a possible love interest the old boy was about to nurture? Truly, I'm amazed that a man purportedly in his "golden years," would place himself at the mercy of an equally aging female. With that kind of newly acquired "anchor," how can a man, ever, pass away in peace? Not to mention, too, leaving Morris the younger to deal with the old broad.
