Akira Kurosawa, Japan's great director of sweeping historical dramas, made his greatest films in collaboration with Toshiro Mifune, Japan's own John Wayne-meets Lawrence Olivier. Now a new retrospective features their restored and resubtitled films, and Linda Hoaglund, a noted interpreter, joins us to discuss them.
