Live from the Greene Space

Soundcheck | May 3, 2010

The Brooklyn soul, funk and R&B band Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings are known for their vintage analog grooves, fiery horn section, and of course, the defiant yet vulnerable vocals of singer Sharon Jones. Today, the full band turns up the funk in WNYC's Greene Space. Also: Chilean MC Ana Tijoux joins us to share her first American release, "1977," and perform live.

On the day that Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings release their fourth album, “I Learned the Hard Way,” they join Soundcheck for a live performance from WNYC’s Greene Space.
