Figure Skating's Greatest Hits... And Misses

Figure skating is arguably the most popular of the Winter Olympic sports and music is a key weapon in the figure skater's arsenal. Yet opinions differ on the sport's tried-and-true hits - the oft-used pieces such as "Carmen," "Bolero," and "Phantom of the Opera." Some believe it's time to shake up skating's familiar soundtrack.

Joining us with their views on this are Anne Midgette, chief classical music critic of the Washington Post; and Robin Wagner, a coach who worked with the 2002 Olympic Gold Medallist Sarah Hughes. She also worked with Sasha Cohen and choreographed for several World, National, and professional competitors.
