The indefatigable Jordi Savall wears many hats: viola da gamba virtuoso, conductor, entrepreneur, and early-music scholar. One could also add "patriarch" to the list. His current touring ensemble is almost entirely a family affair, with daughter Arianna on vocals and arpa doppia (a folk harp of sorts), son Ferran on the orbo (a type of lute) and his wife, the noted soprano Montserrat Figueras. The entire clan joins us today in the WNYC studio, offering a live performance of works by Vivaldi.
