Next year, Manhattan's Chinatown will be represented in the City Council for the first time by a Chinese-American. City Councilwoman-Elect Margaret Chin(D-1), who will also represent SoHo, TriBeCa, and parts of the Lower East Side, talks about her recent election.

For all practical purposes, the renminbi is pegged to the dollar, so the decline in dollar will not increase the trade with China.
