Jazz pianist and composer Geoffrey Keezer performed live on the Leonard Lopate Show recently. He also told us what he's been listening to lately -- and it's a lot! Find out what's on his iPod...

What have you read or seen over the past year (book, play, film, etc…) that moved or surprised you?

I have a 5-year-old at home, so the only movies I’ve been to in the last 5 years are kids movies.  I loved the soundtrack to “Tangled” [insert smiley face here]

What are you listening to right now?

Allan Holdsworth – “All Night Wrong”
        Chick Corea – “The Vigil”
        Dirty Projectors – “Bitte orca”
        Kimbra – “Vows”
        Louis C.K. – “Shameless”
        Roberta Flack + Donny Hathaway
Wayne Shorter – “Without a Net”

What’s the last great book you read?

           “The Corrections” by Jonathan Franzen

What’s one thing you’re a fan of that people might not expect?

Heavy metal + electonical [insert another smiley face here]

What’s your favorite comfort food?

Anything made with rice: paella, risotto, fried rice
