Marisha Pessl was on the Leonard Lopate Show recently to talk about her most recent novel, Night Film. She also told us what she's been reading and about her favorite comfort food.

What have you read or seen over the past year that moved or surprised you?

         I just saw Ain't Them Bodies Saints and was blown away by it. It was a meditation on love, human connection, visually stunning. 

What are you listening to right now?

         Empire of the Sun, "I'll Be Around"

What’s the last great book you read?

         Of Human Bondage by W. Somerset Maugham

What’s one thing you’re a fan of that people might not expect?

         The New England Patriots

What’s your favorite comfort food?

         Black truffle mac and cheese
