You are wrong blacksocial -- Adams seems to have sat on his revelation for about a year.

Typical for a politician, the timing of his breaking this outrageous news was just prior to his election day.

Yawn.

blacksocialist -- If he did step fwd w this at the time, then I obviously stand corrected.

But speaking practically and contextually, as a politician who is asserting himself into today's news, then senator Adams ought to have pointed this fact out himself if Brian forgot to ask him about it. I am guessing that most listeners are not as familiar with this junior state senator as you are.

The ways in which the prison-industrial complex directly profit from drug policy must be thoroughly examined and exposed.

I am inclined to believe that Liu should be commended for his proposal on de-criminalizing marijuana.

Lol. I used to get marijuana delivered to my apartment...across the street from Eric Adams' office.

It's been public for a while..a good candidate and I don't recall hearing him say "police bad"...if you don't have anything to say, you sure shouldn't say anything dumb.

When it comes to discovering and confiscating weapons and reducing violence, I'm not certain that Stop 'n Frisk is unjustified.

But drugs?

How about trying some S&F in predominately white (or Asian) suburban high schools and college campuses. And see how much contraband is found...

if this is true then why didn't he (and the other leaders he named) go public with it 30 seconds after that meeting?

Ahh yes, the idiot that is john from office. where's your buddy jgarbuz?.... as for your point, such as it is, it is somewhat ironic that you question someone on ignoring facts..... knuckledragger

Mr. Adams and candidate James from the Public Advocate's debate last night are the kind of politicians we dont need. Very simplistic, police bad, vote for me. Mr. Adams, as a former cop, should be ashamed.I realize that to get elected you need to ignore facts and just bash the cops, but every time a kid gets killed by another kid, these "leaders" lose credibility.
