This morning, a federal judge ruled that New York City's stop-and-frisk policy violates constitutional rights. We discuss the verdict and the proposed changes. Plus: New York City political debate season has arrived. NY1’s Errol Louis previews the upcoming Comptroller and Public Advocate debates. And: the primary for New Jersey’s Senate seat is Tuesday, so today all the Democratic candidates will make their case to voters, starting with Cory Booker, then Rush Holt, Sheila Oliver and Frank Pallone.

Stop-and-Frisk Decision

WNYC reporter Kathleen Horan discusses this morning's decision in the stop-and-frisk case. She is joined by Samuel Walker, emeritus professor of criminal justice at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and author of several works on civil liberties and police oversight, including Presidents and Civil Liberties From Wilson to Obama, who testified during the trial about possible remedies.
