Cory Booker continues to dominate the field, less than a week before the primary vote in New Jersey's U.S. Senate race to fill the seat of the late Frank Lautenberg.

A new Quinnipiac poll puts Booker at the top of the Democratic field with 54% of likely primary voters.

Congressman Frank Pallone comes in at a distant second, with 17%, followed by Congressman Rush Holt with 15% and State Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver with only 5%.

On the Republican side, Steve Lonegan leads private physician Alieta Eck 74-to-10 percent.

In a general election match-up between the two, the poll has Booker beating Lonegan 54-to-29 percent.

The primary is next Tuesday, August 13th.

The general election is set for Wednesday, October 16.
