I've been a New Yorker since 2001, and for the first time I got to see the fireworks on the Fourth of July in person. Amazing! I also got to see a live taping of "Ask Me Another" in Central Park which, was more fun than I'd expected. I'd still like to visit Governors Island before the summer is over (and apparently, Fire Island too.)

Visited the 4 Freedoms Park on Roosevelt Island -- a reminder of what we could be and a beautiful spot!

For years I have meant to go to the museum of the Hispanic Society of America in Audubon Terrace. I finally got there. It's a terrific collection, in a beautiful old building, yet it is almost deserted. More people should go.
