Wounded Warrior Project

The Wounded Warrior Project's designed to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history. The project aims to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members, help injured service members aid and assist each other and also provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members. The group provides networking opportunities, assistance with benefits issues and peer mentor programs, among other things.

Visiting Nurse Service of New York

The Visiting Nurse Service of New York is the largest not-for-profit home health care organization in the country. Visiting Nurse Service of New York has 18,950 dedicated employees and 2,445 nurses, with an average of 13 years experience in the field. The institution has 525 rehabilitation therapists (physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists), more than 11,560 home health aides, 525 social workers, 160 other clinical professionals. In 2012, VNSNY cared for 149,400 patients in the New York metro area, made 2,425,490 home visits.

Beatitudes Campus

Founded in 1965, Beatitudes Campus is where North Central Phoenix seniors come to live, learn and grow in comfortable, caring neighborhoods situated in a thriving not-for-profit community. Seniors choose independent living options for lifestyles filled with activity and purpose, free from worry. When a little extra care is needed, home care services and assisted living are offered. With skilled nursing, rehabilitation services and dementia care all available at one community, the Campus seeks to provide a full continuum of care, with many residential living options. The community is home to more than 600 seniors.

This site is an online resource for women. According to the site, Girlfriends With Aging Parents is a place where women can share conversations, stories and wisdom on caring for your closest relatives as they age. "Life being what it is, many of us are also juggling a career along with the needs of our adult children, grandchildren, spouses and in-laws at the same time. Whatever your load, who better to share it with than friends?," says the site.

Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA)

IAVA's mission is to support veterans from the day they get home and throughout the rest of their lives. IAVA empowers Veterans to provide sustainable leadership for their communities and the country while raising awareness about veterans' issues and building support for their families, as well by advocating for them on the local and federal levels. IAVA's four key impact areas are: Health, Education, Employment, and Community.

Autism Speaks

Autism Speaks is an organization founded by Bob and Suzannae Wright, grandparents of a child with Autism. Autism Speaks is the world's leading autism science and advocacy organization, which provides research funding to the causes, prevention, treatments and cure for autism. AS also works to raise awareness of autism spectrum disorders and advocates for the families affected by autism.

Alzheimer's Association

Alzheimer's Assocation is a non-profit organization dedicated to working to improve care and support for all people affected by Alzheimer's and dementia. Alzheimer Assocation focuses on improving care and support, advancing and funding Alzheimer's and dementia research, and advocacy for paitents and families.

National Alliance for Caregiving

National Alliance for Caregiving is a non-profit coalition of national organizations that aims to advance family caregiving through innovation, research, and advocacy. Members are part of grassroots organizations, professional associations, disease-specific organizations, government agencies, service organizations and corporations. National Alliance for Caregiving performs research, policy analysis, best-practice development and works to raise awareness by all people involved in the caregiving practice.

Their mission is to become the largest internet resource for education, advocacy, research, and support for families and patients affected by traumatic brain injuries.
