Guest Picks: Jonathan Tolins

Wednesday, July 24, 2013

Playwright Jonathan Tolins was on the Leonard Lopate Show recently, along with actor Michael Urie, to talk about his play, "Buyer & Cellar." It turns out he's a fan of everything from Bach Cantatas to the Real Housewives!

What have you read or seen over the past year that moved or surprised you?

Nikolai and the Others by Richard Nelson at Lincoln Center

What are you listening to right now?

Bach Cantatas and lots of opera, as always. (I love the Operavore stream through the WQXR website.)

What’s the last great book you read?

The Stranger's Child by Alan Hollinghurst

What’s one thing you’re a fan of that people might not expect?

The Real Housewives of anywhere. Sad, but true.

What’s your favorite comfort food?

         Cold sesame noodles.
