Actor Michael Urie was on the Leonard Lopate Show recently to talk about starring in "Buyer & Cellar," along with playwright Jonathan Tolins. He also told us about the two unexpected things he's a fan of!

What have you read or seen over the past year that moved or surprised you?

        Holland Taylor's "Ann" was a beautiful portrait of TX governor Ann Richards. I felt like she was alive and well.


What are you listening to right now?

         Gershwin, prepping for an audition for An American in Paris


What’s the last great book you read?

         Almost finished with Frank Langella's great memoir Dropped Names.

         The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay.


What’s one thing you’re a fan of that people might not expect?

         Barry Manilow & Marvel movies


What’s your favorite comfort food?

         Fried Chicken & Red Velvet Cake
