Check out some of the recommendations for weekend activities from the WNYC staff.
ARUN VENUGOPAL, WNYC Reporter: Arun will brave the lines at the Guggenheim for James Turrell's installation of light, color and space, where he asks, "where is the source of this light?" Listen to our past segment: Turrell: Heroic or Disappointing?
LORRAINE MATTOX, Manager of Listener Services: Did you know that you can stand-up paddle board in the Hudson River? Lorraine found that out when she visited the Manhattan Kayak Company. She didn't fall once either, probably because she admittedly was afraid of the quality of the water.
JIM O'GRADY, WNYC Reporter: Swimming in large bodies of water reminds Jim when he used to sneak into the Kensico Reservoir in Westchester County as a child. Don't do that now because it's illegal! Jim suggests the Riverpool and the Great Newburgh-Beacon Swim. This weekend participants are raising funds for Beacon's riverpool by swimming a mile across the Hudson River.
