The police department today made an arrest and named two more suspects in the shooting death of Tayshana Murphy, a senior and star basketball player at Murry Bergtraum High School for Business Careers.

At a press briefing on Tuesday, Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly said investigators were looking for Robert Cartagena, 20, and Tyshawn Brockington, 21, in connection to the shooting. Surveillance footage caught the two men with guns in their waistbands, Commissioner Kelly said.

On Monday, the police arrested a person in connection with the case, Terique Collins, 24, who is being held on charges of criminal possession of a weapon, said the department’s chief spokesman, Paul J. Browne. Investigators believe Mr. Collins handed the weapon to one of the two suspects, Mr. Browne said.
