New High Schools Seek Students in Round Two

Friday, March 02, 2012 - 01:09 PM

On The Brian Lehrer Show on Friday, three founding principals talked up their new schools and discussed how they are working to fill their incoming freshman classes. Many seats are still available, and the principals will join others at a high school fair on Saturday for eighth graders who did not get matched with a high school in the first round of the admissions process. Listen to the segment with Seung Yu, principal of the Academy for Software Engineering, Stacy McCoy, principal of The Bronx Compass High School, and Bernardo Ascona, principal of the Union Square Academy for Health Sciences.

The fair will be held on Saturday and Sunday at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Educational Campus near Lincoln Center.
