Boys high school varsity basketball teams across the city competed in their respective borough's play-off games Tuesday night, getting a feel for the competition to be faced in PSAL's Division "AA" city-wide play-offs.

SchoolBook stopped by Transit Tech in East New York, Brooklyn for the team's game against rival Boys and Girls High School, the city champion the last three years.

"We all know it's a rivalry," said Phil White, father of Transit Tech's Elizah White. "We beat them on their court last time."

Even though it was a close game, with Transit Tech being up by six points in the third quarter, it didn't turn out to be their night. Boys and Girls took the lead in the final quarter and won 66-61.

The two teams will face each other again in the city playoffs. As far as competition in Brooklyn, the team to beat this year is Abraham Lincoln High School's Railsplitters, which has a 15-1 record this season.
