What an "Amazin'" interview, Brian. I found the religion aspect the most fascinating. I had no idea, but I loved Ron's response.

We Met fans are truly fortunate to have Gary Cohen, Keith Hernandez and Ron covering the games.

Even though I'm a Yankee fan, I break the NYC fan code of ethics and root for the Mets too. Love listening to Darling broadcast the game. He's fair, intelligent, and entertaining. Hard to find all three qualities in a broadcaster these days. I mean a sports broadcaster, of course.
I'll be at the "new Shea" saturday too. Can't bring myself to call it Citifield.

I remember Ronnie pitching so well. His out pitch was a splitter. He had been taken out of game seven of the '86 World Series, but in the 9th inning, I remember him sitting on the bench with his arm around Sid Fernandez, who came in the relieve him earlier in the game. It's one of those things that sticks in my mind.

Sports is the last topic I would find interesting. Your interview motivated me to get on the computer and research, not only Ron Darling, but baseball in general. Great interview, and a great guest.

Darling, dude, you're tarnishing your brand, pimping for a bailed-out bank.

Ron is one of the best commentators on TV today. It's a pleasure to be a Mets fan and listen to him day in day out. Al Leiter is also an exceptional commentator, and I wonder if you could ask Ron if pitchers naturally make for better commentators, the way catchers make for better managers.

I am so outraged that both of these stadiums were built on the taxpayer's back, especially when they are raising the subway fare and putting tolls on the East River bridges.

Will affordable housing be built on the former site of Shea?
