Wednesday, June 19, 2013

Last fall, flooding from Superstorm Sandy resulted in mold damage in many homes, and industrial hygienist Monona Rossol helped us figure out how to prevent and treat it. I am selling my home which was remediated for mold one year ago by a professional remediation company. My present buyer is demanding thousands of dollars, claiming there still is a mold problem. The buyer's recent recent lab report says it grew: cladosporium and non-sporulating fungi. The report confirmed that it was not "unusual" mold. Is it a problem ?

The most effective non-toxic mold remedy I've heard of is a blend of essential oils called Thieves--a "proprietary blend" of Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus & Rosemary Oils--
(originally utilized by Thieves who effectively robbed from graves & bodies during the Plague)

they seem to promote the use of diffusers for dispersing the oils & their anti-fungal properties into the air.

Vinegar is purported to be a completely satisfactory alternative to Windex-type commercial glass cleaner.
