Guest Picks: Darlene Love

Singer Darlene Love was on the Leonard Lopate Show to talk about her days as a backup singer. She's featured in the documentary, "Twenty Feet from Stardom," and we were also joined by former backup singer Merry Clayton and director Morgan Neville. Darlene Love told us what she's been listening to, ever since she saw the documentary. 

What have you read or seen over the past year that moved or surprised you?

         Honestly, Twenty Feet from Stardom! A must see.


What are you listening to right now?

            “Lean on Me,” over and over because the story in Twenty Feet from Stardom.


What’s the last great book you read?

         The Bible, every day but then, recently Jerry Blavat’s book! Check it out.


What’s one thing you’re a fan of that people might not expect?

         Even as a career rock & roller, Gospel music!!!


What’s your favorite comfort food?
