Regulation is a cost? It doesn't produce any thing ? Regulation is management I'll bet the business guys do not think that management is a cost.... What does management produce that regulation does not...

"Regulatory people are a cost -- they don't produce anything," your guest just said. It is worth remembering that the best regulatory people, including operational risk departments, could also be considered the department that is working to save the business money in the long run -- the money lost to lawyers, huge fines, bad publicity and possible disaster. Just a thought...

How dense...Yes, we want to constrain Wall Street's size and economic portion/power. AND, yes, we also want more growth jobs, in other industries, that pay living wages. Nothing contradictory here.

And what regulators contribute is constraint on the excess that produced this current economic crisis.

Mr David is great at beating up Obama but not so good at holding the House and Mr. Boehner for the lack of progress on "Jobs! Jobs! Jobs!"

At the current rate of hiring, it takes three months of job gains to equal one month of job losses that occurred at the beginning of Obama's term. The Congress needs to take some steps to goose aggregate demand. Infrastructure and high-speed rail would be my choices.

Why does this clown have a job??

Unemployment rate with college degree or greater 3.6
Rate with hs degree. 6.9
Rate less than hs. 10.3

Do the math. The economy has changed if you are still not ready you will be left behind.
