Last month, Boston witnessed one of the most extensive manhunts in the city’s history following the marathon bombings. Within days of the attack, two suspects were identified and after an intense firefight with the police, one of the accused, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, was killed and the other suspect, his younger brother Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, was eventually captured.
How did investigators solve the case so quickly? In a new NOVA documentary, produced by our partner WGBH, director and producer Miles O’Brien looks at the high tech tools that law enforcement officials used, along with solid detective work, to find the Tsarnaev brothers.
“Manhunt – Boston Bombers” airs on PBS tonight.
