Cool, rainy weather appears to be dampening motorists eagerness to leave town early. Even so, the AAA says Americans who drive 50 miles or more from home this weekend will tick up slightly -- 0.25 percent -- though overall travel will decline 0.9 percent from the 35.1 million people who traveled last year. AAA attributes the decline in air travel of eight percent to fee fatigue among travelers and a waffling economy. AAA also says lower paychecks as a result of the end of the tax holiday period are affecting decisions about vacations.
