Today, President Obama gives a major national security speech, and in it, he’s sure to touch on a number of topics that relate to the Muslim world, and to Muslims here at home - from drone strikes in Pakistan to targeted surveillance in the U.S.

But while he touches widely on issues affecting Muslims, will he be addressing their specific concerns? And what will he say about how our national security efforts affect Muslim perceptions of the United States?

Hussein Rashid is a Professor of Religion at Hofstra University and he recently returned from Pakistan, where the locals talked with him openly about how the U.S. security efforts affect them.
