Comedian Jim Gaffigan: Dad Is Fat

Thursday, May 16, 2013

Stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan examines all the joys and horrors of life with his five young children and talks about his comedy career. His new book, Dad Is Fat, is reminiscent of Bill Cosby’s Fatherhood, and is a humorous cry for help from a man who has realized he and his wife are outnumbered in their own home.

It was hard to keep reading after he made a dramatic attempt to compare Instagram to Kodak.

The first two comments are why i stopped giving money to NPR. Stop being elitist monsters. Remember when the internet trolls were mostly on Youtube? Anyone calling that guy obnoxious is insane.

Remember when comedians actually had something to say? When their job was to be an astute social critic, not a comedian for Mister Rogers. This has got to be one of the least interesting people working today. Just what NYC needs - more bland, empty people from the Midwest. Of course he lives on the Bowery with his 5 kids and thinks NYC is swell. And all he does is talk about his boring life and his boring wife and boring kids. Why does anyone care?

It's times like these that I miss muggings. These boring people didn't come to NYC when we had muggings. You actually had to have some character to live here. It's people like this who have turned NYC into a boring New Jersey suburb.

George Carlin is rolling in his grave.

One of the worst guests I've heard on WNYC in a while. He's the epitome of the obnoxious. Of course, he's from the Midwest and just loves living on the Bowery.

OF COURSE becoming a father is totally life-changing! Duh! The only purposes of life are to (1) survive, and (2) to reproduce! What other point is there? What do other animals do besides trying to survive and to reproduce? Everything humans do other trying to survive and reproducing is just diversionary entertainment.

Until a man is a father, he has no clue.
