Catsimatidis is the ONLY candidate who actually has a business/entrepreneurship background, who will understand and appreciate the enormous difficulties of small business owners surviving in NYC despite the avalanche of taxes and regulations---including the latest with mandatory sick days just approved by the NY City Council. Catsimatidis himself is an immigrant, and he was a student in NYC's public schools becoming #132 on the "Forbes 400" list. I believe he's much more sharp and astute about financing NYC's vast debt and budget deficits than the rest of the political hack lightweights running!

Does Cats have a political advisor? Someone ought to advise them to keep him from appearing in public. He is lewd, crude and is performing a great service for whoever is running against him. I don't think the dirty grocery stores help either.

Carl Ian Schwartz from Paterson, New Jersey

This guy's reputation precedes him. His supermarkets are no longer the quality places they originally were, and his ignorance is plainly on display in the interview. He is fully able to hoist himself by his own petard.

They say people get the faces they deserve. Who'd vote for this toad for Mayor? I'd rather vote for my miniature schnauzer.

Here's some advice, Mr Catsimatidis - Quit the race, and get on public access. You are a very entertaining narcissist.

Thanks

On NYPD Commissioner Kelly, and the "ELEVEN" people picketing against NYPD practices like stop and frisk -- is he so ignorant, or just belittling the thousands of New Yorkers who have been marching and picketing against this practice? Does he not care that in order to find hundreds of illegal firearms, this practice has alienated and angered (and violated the Constitutional rights of) over one million New Yorkers -- and yet the gun murder rate hasn't even dropped... This guy is clueless -- doesn't know what he's talking about, and is the worst that New York City has to offer. Liberal Party?? PUHLEEZE...!

OK, enough already. Next segment, please!

"Solid walnut walls?" How about merchandise that doesn't have, at least, five layers of dust and is outdated by a year or more? We want them out of our building--Gristedes is an insult to humanity.

May. 10 2013 10:38 AM
Bob from Brooklyn

The only candidate that has created tens of thousands of low wage, crap jobs. WOW! Pro-Business!!

This guy makes no sense on anything, and he clearly doesn't listen. He's in love with himself. What a liar.

May. 10 2013 10:33 AM

Wow, when was the last time you heard someone use the word "hoodlum?"

Now he's talking about using your smart phone to call the police! Who knew?

May. 10 2013 10:33 AM

LOL
does he know the NYPD is still using software from the 1970s??

May. 10 2013 10:33 AM

This guy is HILARIOUS on global warming and his theories of planets. I hope Brian asks him to explain his planetary theories of global warming. It is a true grocers explanation of geology

May. 10 2013 10:32 AM
Leo from Queens

What does he mean by 'the hoodlums'? People of color or the 50% of the population that make $50K or less?

He is in favor of the NYPD having it's own private terror group spying on people without accountability? He is for NYPD executions and no accountability?

This guy is a thug!

May. 10 2013 10:32 AM
thatgirl from manhattan

No, really--please stop running!

Could not entertain voting for someone who owns the filthiest supermarkets with the most outdated food in the city. There's one in our building, and despite everyone's complaint's about it to the City Dept. of Health, it remains open, often smells of dead vermin.

"We politicians..." well at least he believes in truth in packaging. Anyone who cops to that label is simply a false prophet.

May. 10 2013 10:32 AM
Bob from Brooklyn

This guy is awful. Just... awful.

Does anyone believe he 'listens' to 'picketers'? LOL!!

The Republicans ruin everything.

May. 10 2013 10:30 AM

did he bribe anyone to get on the ballot?

May. 10 2013 10:29 AM

OH, D_G!!!

Please stop.

May. 10 2013 10:28 AM

Please ask Mr Catsimatidis what his thoughts are on the rise of Golden Dawn. Will he instruct the NYPD spy on the group in NYC?

May. 10 2013 10:26 AM
Leo from queens

Can you ask Mr. Catsimatidis what are his plans to reform the NYPD and if he doesn't have a plan then why does he think that no changes or reforms are needed on how the NYPD operates and relates to its citizens?

Along those lines, since we desperately needed reforms by the time Guiliani left (and correctly sidetracked by the tragedy of 9/11), does he think he is qualified to be mayor for the over 8 million residents of the City if he thinks all is fine with the NYPD

May. 10 2013 10:13 AM
Bob from Brooklyn

This guy is hilarious. 'Member last time? I wonder if he's evolved on global warming. What's his stance on drones flying in New York City?

Can't wait for this interview!

The Catsimatidis campaign should distribute this bumper sticker-

"Help bloat a public union pension fund ... vote Democratic."
