The Christie administration is betting on the gambling economy.

The governor signed a bill that legalizes online wagering this year, and the state is investing in Revel, a glitzy new casino in Atlantic City. He’s hoping gambling will be an engine of economic growth for the Garden State

Now, an online poker business with a shady history is trying to buy an Atlantic City casino.

Ryan Hutchins, a reporter who covers Atlantic City for The Star-Ledger, talks to WNYC’s Soterios Johnson about the deal and its implications.
