John Densmore on The Doors: Unhinged

Drummer John Densmore talks about his time in The Doors and about the conflicts that broke out as the band became more successful. His book The Doors: Unhinged is part memoir and part exploration of the what makes some people focus on attaining wealth, even at the expense of principles and friendships.

this interviewer is very snide and condescending to john. he pokes fun at him and almost says he's "disposable" when john was making a point at saying other musicians are. i'm not a fan of interviewers fixated on the money/legal issues in a grubby manner

I was the graphic designer for The Doors - LA Woman (The Workshop Sessions) and it was a highlight of my career to work on such a project! The music, the history... I will never forget it and never stop listening to it.

One of the Doors songs, "Touch Me" has the last line "Stronger than Dirt", a clear reference to Ajax Laundry Detergent commercials of the time.
