Leonard, early in the interview you asked Bob if it is "immoral" for the wealthy to stay in Dubai resorts where the staff are foreign wage slaves with absolutely zero human rights.

I got the feeling Bob was uncomfortable with the word "immoral" and my guess is that he like others is uncomfortable with that words religious overtones.

Whatever the reason I think a good alternative would be to view our actions as either ethical or unethical.

So is it ethical or unethical for the wealthy to knowingly stay in resorts where staff is treated so deplorably? Is it ethical or unethical for the wealthy to excuse their choices with the argument that at least the wage slave has a job?

BTW I've been a Kiva lender for several years.

Great interview, really enjoyed it... taking a second listen I find the audio is actually of the previous segment 'DIY Medicine'. Hope that link can be fixed- would love to send the proper 'Bob' interview to a friend.

What came first: the idea for the book or the loans?
