Why Chris Christie Is Taking Obamacare Funds

Thursday, February 28, 2013

Though he claims to be "no fan" of the Affordable Care Act, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie announced this week that the state will accept the bill's expanded Medicaid coverage provision. New Jersey Senate Republican Leader Thomas Kean Jr. and Gordon MacInnes, president of New Jersey Policy Perspective, discuss the decision and what it means for the Garden State's residents and budget.

I love the way that republican parrot, Kean said, "Washington can't get its act together", and just had to spin it, "under Obama's leadership".

Billions wasted in tax giveaways and loopholes, yet they want to tske away food stamps and housing assistance that's already sn inadequate safety net for sn already endangered, overwhelmingly underemployed America. Pitifully lacking in leadership themselves, the tea party and other radical republican ideology continues to drive that morally corrupt party.

State Senators are the worst, why not just read the Governor's talking points instead of having this guy on.

the teaparty, as much as they are unprogressive, do not really care about pro-life or social issues very much---they care about their personal finances---christie is pro-life on his own---and has some very regressive positions on such issues but he is practical when the political eyes are on the money of his constituencies---which keeps them happy

Wow....Mr. Kean is quite the obsequious sycophant. Is he vying for a 2016 Christie cabinet position ;-)?

Martin, everytime Christie goes along with Obama his approval rating only goes up. At some point, you had to admit tht it's Chuzzlewit who is out of step with the world. Insult all you want, but you lose... again.

Why? Because he is a smart man and he RESPECTS the decision and office of the President of the Unite States.

A politically astute move for Christie. It's hard to argue against putting NJ residents ahead of political ideology. Indeed, that's what he was nominally elected to do.

Why .....uhhh, November 2013?

Learning the Barry Obama way of governing solely with your your re-election in mind.
Maybe he'll even start making things up ("I had nothing to do with the sequester.") just like Odumbo. (Oh, no, unlike President 51%, he doesn't have the media in his pocket to ignore his lies.)
