He didn't answer the question about the NRA's complaint that before adding new gun laws New York should enforce the existing ones. He deflected the issue with the non sequitor of saying that homicide rates have declined.

Yesterday night I went out to buy some chicken and I sae a whole bunch of cops and they were teasing and bulling everyone they saw and where laughing among themselves and it remind me when I was in the marines and how the higher ranks made fun of their subordinates.
Mr. Kelly I beg you not to succumb to the mayors whits, you have to understand that he is totally mad, he thinks your commissioner Gordon and he's batman..the mayor should not even be running anything he has a very complex way of thinking , he thinks ny is germany and were in the 1940s...he wants to build a Gestapo police force and ask us for documents if we look different...I hope that you can overcome the mayors great wealth because their not justified ideas, he just knows how to twick and crunch numbers and among all those greedy investors they build a powerful network of nothing that has to do with the justice system, we the ppl of ny pray that you see us as equals or better citizens of the world because new yorkers deal with lots of adversity ..thank you
