FEMA's Sandy Deadline Approaching

The deadline to apply for FEMA assistance for damage from Sandy is Monday, January 28. And many who have already applied are frustrated with the results.  Yisroel Schulman, co-founder, president, and attorney at large at the New York Legal Assistance Group, gives an update and answers your questions.

Truth & Beauty from Brooklyn

What I want to know is why the deadline is so soon. After the devastation some people suffered, they may not be able to apply so quickly. I think they should have at least six months.

Republicans are losing national elections because they're NOT talking about or care about things the public finds interesting. Could you imagine if a guy/gal charismatic as Christie for example, talking about light-rails, new urbanism, local-farming vs the mega agricultural corporations? I'd take a look if every for years, I didn't hear "small business blah blah," "tax-cuts." "insert coded language heat..."
