Jeff Bialas and Adina Bialas of J&A Farm had most of their crops wiped out in 2011 by Tropical Storm Irene, so you'd think they'd smile and shrug at the thought of getting Stir Fried. Maybe they'd just respond with, "Oh, yeah, Eddings?  That's all you've got?"

Actually, both breathed a big sigh of relief, louder than the howling winds of Hurricane Sandy, after the lightning round was done.

"We were worried you were going to ask us about foods we're embarrassed to admit we eat!" they said.

Lucky for them, I'm still sticking to my New Year's resolution of coming up with new questions for the Stir Fry. As anyone walking into a cheap, bad fast food restaurant knows, the hot oil in the fryer should be changed regularly.  

For the best food you'll ever eat, don't look to restaurants. Jeff tells me in the Stir Fry that good food is the best reason to start a farm, as he and Adina did in 2010.
