Didn't AIG sell insurance without having sufficient assets to cover the loss? There are laws against such activities are there not? Shouldn't someone be in jail about now?

Anita from New Jersey said about Eliot Spitzer.

>Why do you keep going to Spitzer like he's some kind of elder statesman? The man participated in a criminal enterprise and did NO time. He is an exploiter or women, and all he had to do was a public MEA CULPA and then he got to work rehabbing his image. Terrible! All of you who still seek him out are basically saying that exploiting women does not matter and participating in prostitution does not matter.

You should also air your ire at Bill Clinton as an "exploiter of women".

Ask Monica Lubinsky.

I'm sure that all of you who are critizing Governor Spitzer have never done anything wrong.

You know what? Give it up. His advantages outweigh the problems. He is a really smart guy, and a good guy who cares about the country.

I never judge people's professional capabilities on their personal proclivities. It has no bearing. Clinton was a great president who had a human flaw. It happens.

I'd love to see the Governor take over the Enforcement Division at the SEC.

Adultery will always be everybody's business as long as marriage exists. When marriage ceases to exist, as I hope one day it will cease to exist, then there'll be no adultery.

Al Gore made a fortune of nearly a billion dollars warning against global warming — supposedly shrinking glaciers, declining polar-bear populations, and the like — while simultaneously offering timely remedies from his own green corporations, all reminiscent of the methodology of Roman millionaire Marcus Licinius Crassus, who profited from fires and putting them out. Now Nobel laureate Gore has sold his interest in a failing cable-television station for about $100 million — and to the anti-American Al-Jazeera, which is owned by the fossil-fuel-rich royal family of Qatar. Gore rushed to close the deal before the first of the year to avoid the very capital-gains tax hikes that he has advocated for others less well off. That’s a liberal trifecta: enhancing a fossil-fuel consortium, attempting to beat tax hikes, and empowering an anti-American and anti-Semitic media conglomerate run by an authoritarian despot — all from a former vice president of the United States who crusades for ending our reliance on fossil fuels and for raising taxes on the wealthy.

Ask Spitzer how much fun it is when your daddy is one of the most ruthless slum lords in NYC. While you're at it, ask him if he still wires money to escort services.

Spitzer is nothing but a shameless attention wh*re, and it's to WNYC's infamy that they even give him yet another fifteen minutes of fame.

It's not about return on our investment. That financial collapse destroyed jobs, the value of people's homes, and lives.

Paying the American people back at 13% does nothing to repair that damage. So for the comedy of robber barons insisting they "paid us back"? I have two fingers on each hand that I raise in your honor.

Another great guest selection for this cutting edge show.

I hope in addition to analyzing AIG, I hope you spend a little time talking about his views on women and what the current rate is for escorts.

What did Gov. Spitzer think of the MoveOn.org petition of Paul Krugman for Treasury Secretary?
or
When is he running again, so he can %@!* roll these clowns that pass themselves as politicians! j/k (both dems and reps)!

Thanks!

Ask Spitzer why he quit Al Jezeera English. Has he ever watched it? It's legitimate journalism that covers what others do not. I'd like to hear his reason/justification.

I've been lost since Current went off-air on TWC because I can no longer watch Viewpoint with Eliot Spitzer one of my favorite shows. How can I find Current now? I miss the show very much.
