In Newtown, A Father Sends His First Grader Back to School

Friday, January 04, 2013

Students from Sandy Hook Elementary returned to school this week for the first time since the December 14 shooting. Their school remains closed, so children are attending classes at another location in the neighboring town of Monroe.

Schicker said his family was "anxious to get back to a routine" — but that routine comes with a new reality in Newtown.
