The Films of 2012 and the NY Film Critics Awards

The New York Film Critics Awards are on January 7, and we’ve invited three critics: John Anderson of Variety and Newsday; Richard Corliss of Time; and Joshua Rothkopf of Time Out New York and the current Chair of the NYFCC, to talk about their favorite films of the year, as well as some of the flops and box office surprises.

Nina Hoss on "Barbara"

Actress Nina Hoss talks about her new movie, “Barbara.” Set in East Germany in 1980, the film focuses on a young doctor who has applied for an exit visa from the GDR and, as punishment, has been transferred from her prestigious post in Berlin to a small pediatric hospital in the country. “Barbara” opens on December 21 at the Lincoln Plaza Cinemas and Angelika Film Center.

We're joined again by Dr. Drew Ramsey, Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and co-author of The Happiness Diet,  and  Dr. Rajita Sinha, director of the Yale Stress Center, and Professor of Psychiatry, Neurobiology and Child Study at Yale University School of Medicine.
