Thursday, November 29, 2012

Kristine Nielsen, David Hyde Pierce, and Sigourney Weaver discuss their roles in “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.” Playwright Christopher Durang takes characters and themes from Chekhov and mixes them up, and the result is a play set in present day Bucks County, Pennsylvania. “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike” is playing at Lincoln Center’s Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater.

Hope David gets a Tony nod for this. Always great to see him prospering in the theater.

My mother had a blue heron that came faithfully. After her memorial service, the heron and it's large similar friends gathered on her roof to share in our tribute to her. It was like a Edward Gorey drawing, including some of Ted's cousins. After that the birds never returned.
