Kimberly Marten, Barnard College political science professor and the author of Warlords: Strong-arm Brokers in Weak States, talks about those who impose order in failed states.
..."warlords"?? "tribes"?? "clans"???
This, in the 21st. century?!!?
How much cheaper and infinitely more effective would it be to simply extract ALL the willing innocents and relocate them to a safe place of their choice - provide housing, education etc. And then, just let these backward, religious psychotics slaughter each other?!?
Might it be interesting to compare the current "warlords" with the political situation common in Europe in the middle ages?
