Yes, Mitt Romney had a line on climate in his convention speech. And Barack Obama had one in his, one that showed he takes it seriously. I'n sorry it wasn't mentioned in the segment, because it makes the contrast very clear.

Chris Hayes lets Republicans off awfully easy. Not only are they not willing to compromise as much as Democrats are. They are willing to do grievous harm to the country for purely political ends. Where the public/national interest is at stake, Democrats almost invariably work with Republicans. Were it only true that this shameful bunch of Republicans would do the same.

Promise: Close Gitmo. Reality: Gitmo is STILL open for business. DUE TO GOP UNDEMOCRATIC OBSTRUCTION.

Promise: Healthcare reform. Reality: 50M people STILL don't have coverage; premiums skyrocket by 32% in 2 years for those with insurance while benefits are reduced. DUE TO GOP UNDEMOCRATIC OBSTRUCTION. [Premiums will fall as the law is more fully implemented.]

Promise: Financial reform. Reality: Dodd-Frank Law only stops the most egregious banking practices; credit card rates still at usury levels. DUE TO GOP UNDEMOCRATIC OBSTRUCTION.

Promise: Prosecute those responsible for housing scandal. Reality: NO ONE has been even indicted by the DOJ, let alone prosecuted and convicted. NO ONE !!! There have been some prosecutions but plenty of multi-billion dollar fines have been levied. Most of the housing bubble wasn't criminal, just greedy and no one goes to jail in America for being greedy.

Promise: Immigration reform. Reality: More "illegals" deported than under Bush. DUE TO GOP UNDEMOCRATIC OBSTRUCTION.

Fun Fact: Obama nominates tax evader...if Romney wins, we'll have elected a tax evader to the White House.

Fun Fact: Goldman Sachs is Obama's largest campaign contributor....Make that 'was' and I'd agree with you.

Final Grade: F

So what grade would you give Romney? F minus?

Yes...the GOP delayed Franken taking his seat for six months...and Teddy Kennedy died before the Senate came back in session after the summer recess. Yet, the GOP continues to spread the fantasy that Obama and the Democrats held the Congress for Obama's first two years. Every time they say it, the voters need to be reminded that what they are positing is more nuanced than they want you to believe.

@Gary: About half of what you proffer is true. What's your point? Elect Romney? Please, offer a projected review of THAT administration. I don't have the strength or the time or the desire to waste that much imagination or psychic energy. Get a grip!

Let's do a review of the Obama Administration:

Promise: Close Gitmo. Reality: Gitmo is STILL open for business.

Promise: Healthcare reform. Reality: 50M people STILL don't have coverage; premiums skyrocket by 32% in 2 years for those with insurance while benefits are reduced.

Promise: Financial reform. Reality: Dodd-Frank Law only stops the most egregious banking practices; credit card rates still at usury levels.

Promise: Prosecute those responsible for housing scandal. Reality: NO ONE has been even indicted by the DOJ, let alone prosecuted and convicted. NO ONE !!!

Promise: Immigration reform. Reality: More "illegals" deported than under Bush.

Fun Fact: Obama nominates tax evader for Secretary of Treasury (IRS is a division of Treasury).

Fun Fact: Obama wins Noble Peace Prize while dropping bombs on Afghanistan.

Fun Fact: Anti-Wall Street rhetoric in the morning, then Obama appears at Wall St. fundraiser later in the day.

Fun Fact: Goldman Sachs is Obama's largest campaign contributor.

Fun Fact: Rate of foreclosures accelerated from January 2009 to January 2012.

Fun Fact: Banks have the widest profit spread in U.S. history (banks borrow money at 0%--Fed Funds Rate set by government--but lend at 29.9% (e.g., credit card rates).

Fun Fact: "Proposal" (no law yet) for 2-yr reprieve on illegal immigrants b/w 16 and 31 years old that requires registering with I.C.E., which is really a way to "smoke 'em out" and find them for future deportation after 2-yr reprieve has expired.

Final Grade: F
