"Grace" on Broadway

Tuesday, October 30, 2012

Michael Shannon and Ed Asner talk about their roles in the play “Grace,” on Broadway. It’s a gripping dark comedy, written by Craig Wright, that asks: are we in control of our lives or is there something else at work? The story follows a wide-eyed young couple as they start a new life in sunny Florida, with big plans to open a chain of Gospel-themed motels.

I did this little parody-tribute to both Ed Asner and Georgia Engel being on the NYC boards recently, taking turns co-starring with the wonderful Mr. Shannon. [With Stan Daniels' musical of SAME TIME NEXT YEAR set for a concert short run off-Bway this spring (Mr. Daniels was the legendary MTM producer-writer), it's a regular MTM festival in NYC theater]

MTM festival in NYC theater - to the MTM theme, loving parody

Hope it's Ok to post this, it's very short, about 90 seconds.

Ed Asner has it backwards: the only way it would be acceptable to call Sandy a bitch would be if it *did* mean Little Orphan Annie's dog.

Why are so many calling people calling the hurricane "she," anyway? Even on WNYC. I thought we were past that years ago.
