The president's response to the storm has nothing to do w/carrying out the oath of office, which is "to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States"--not the people. Former president Bush invoked the oath to justify wars that were supposedly to protect Americans; I'm sorry to hear this misuse perpetuated on such a reputable source as WNYC, & *by* such a usually reliable source as Bob Hennelly.
