There are 70 billion copies of Harvard Medical School Genetics professor George Church’s book, "Regenesis: How Synthetic Biology Will Reinvent Nature and Ourselves in DNA." But very few people have read it. What gives?

The explanation lies in the fact that the 70 billion copies weren’t published on paper with ink. Instead, they’ve been encoded onto deoxyribonucleic acid, or DNA, in what can only be called a major breakthrough in DNA data storage.
