Guest Picks: Denis O'Hare

Wednesday, August 15, 2012

Denis O'Hare was on the Lopate Show, along with co-star Amy Adams, to discuss playing The Baker in the Shakespeare in the Park production of "Into the Woods." He also told us about watching his son grow up and his love of science fiction. Find out what else Denis O'Hare's been reading recently.

What have you read or seen over the past year that moved or surprised you?

I have watched my adopted son grow, change, walk, laugh and become a person.

What are you listening to right now?

A really really early Mozart opera whose name escapes me. Also Julio Cesar by G.F. Handel.

What’s the last great book you read?

A House for Mr. Biswas by V.S. Naipaul

What’s one thing you’re a fan of that people might not expect?

I’m a huge fan of all Sci-Fi, doesn’t matter if it’s bad or good. If there are goblins and machines, I love it. Game of Thrones qualifies that for me because there are dragons.

What’s your favorite comfort food?

         Spaghetti, marinara and sausage.
