Jesus told us in the last century what we needed to have peace. In his many conversations with St. Faustina Kowalska in the 1920s and 30s, he said 'The world will not have peace until it turns to my mercy'. (See St. Faustina, 'The Diary'.) Doesn't sound like too much to ask, but it hasn't been done in general. (Europe turned away from God, and look what they are facing.)
