Pres. Obama finally said something about whether a gov't. agency got funded--why haven't the Democrats been pointing out all along that Republicans have been refusing to fully fund & confirm Obama's nominees for many gov't. agencies. They obstruct everything he's tried to get done & then say, "Look! He hasn't gotten anything done!" Seems to me like a valid point the Democrats could make.

Did Judge Joe Smith ever rail against conservatives when they said the same thing about activist judges?
Or is he just a hypocrite?

@ Chuzzle - Actually Brian had a series on the effectiveness of the stimulus and found that it worked fairly well overall and, get this, that there wasn't huge amounts of "wasted money." Maybe you should take a listen.

Did It Work? Examining Obama Economic Stimulus Programs

Yo Guzzlenuts,

President Hoodie, huh? Is that an attempt to relate him with the Treyvon issue or something else?

Speaking of Democratic excuses though, what would be your excuse for how things were last time the GOP was running the show in late 2008. Yeah, those were good times. Sure am nostalgic for then!

The race to the bottom is bad.

Instead of competing against each other with Tax Breaks, the states should form a Union. This "Union" would promote the general welfare of each state and establish Justice in how corporations were dealt with.

This "Union" could be Ordained and Established in Washington DC.

The tax credits being handed out in NJ probably include New Market Tax Credits -- the cash cow also helping to feed charter school proliferation. Please ask guests about them -- who exactly profits from the NMTCs?

@ Chuzzlewit - Who is "President Hoodie"? By the way, can't wait for President Romney to save the country and create millions of jobs instantly after the U.S. has undergone a huge economic structural change(yeah right...).

Gov. Christie proved right from the start that he is not interested in economic development for NJ by foolishly eliminating the ARC Tunnel project. He continues to show his lack of understanding everyday.

More gratuitous Christie bashing by the New York Slimes.....and the BLS.

Why not go back and look at the wasted money in Obambi's "stimulus bill"?
Estimates were several hundred thousand dollars per job on some programs.

Christie now is exposed for what he is really doing- massively transferring wealth to corporations while stepping on the middle class. His corporate giveaways don't 'create jobs' It's a big lie, just like he got elected by promising not to touch pensions of police, fire & teachers.

$4/gallon gasoline!!! It gives employers pause as gas is the one factor that almost all businesses use.

Before you jump on BHO for high gas prices, be able to answer the question why gas is $4 now when oil is near $100/bbl? In 2008, oil was at nearly $150.

Warm weather hald the job numbers down????
LOL.....last year President Hoodie told us the COLD, SNOWY winter kept THOSE job numbers down. These Democratic clowns have an excuse for everything .... and the media just repeats it for them.
